Princess Zwaantie, who is slated to be Queen of the kingdom of Sol, has lived her life in the land of pe Prince Of The Moon — Book 2 Technically, you can read this book without reading the first one in the series.

Princess Zwaantie, who is slated to be Queen of the kingdom of Sol, has lived her life in the land of perpetual sun. This story opens with her arrival in the kingdom of Stella, the land of perpetual darkness. Add in meeting the large family of the prince she stated she would marry, and the stress is enough to make most anyone crumble. The unfolding story provides peeks at more of the overall series arc — and at times you wonder if the princess will actually live or not. I wanted to race through this book to see what would happen next, but kept being interrupted by life.

Hopefully I will have an uneventful weekend in which to read that one. This was a tale of two books for me. I loved the world building from spending time in Stella which is so different from Sol. The magic heavy country has a much different feel and I like what hints of the greater happenings that were dropped. This book feels like it suffers a little from being a transition novel that needed to alter some of the elements from the previous novel.

That said, the main character finally got to where I want her to get, but it took a lot longer than I wanted and one of This was a tale of two books for me. That said, the main character finally got to where I want her to get, but it took a lot longer than I wanted and one of her realizations seemed to come during time passing offscreen. That said, I loved the time we got to spend with two of Leo's siblings, Ari and Sage. Their addition made the book much more enjoyable. Other characters we had spent time with previously didn't fair as well in my opinion.

Leo came off worse or at least not as interesting and wasn't in as much of the book as I'd expected him to be. Luna somewhat disappointed me though it is understandable in some ways and Phoenix continued to be the bland plot device I thought he was before.

  • The love triangle of the previous book is altered, but one still exists. I am happy with the direction it seems to be heading. I have hopes for the next novel based on where this one ended. Loth has definitely made up for that boring first book I give this one 4. Where Sol is dull and boring with no mages in sight Stella is filled with the stars and lights, with magic and fun. May 06, Donna rated it it was amazing.

This second instalment in the series continues from the thrilling cliffhanger at the end of book 1, and chronicles Zwaantie's adventures on arrival in Stella. The descriptions of the new world are amazing, so vibrant and vivid, especially in contrast to Sol, her homeland - it's like Sol is ancient England and Stella is modern England, only without the natural daylight, and with magic and with bad things happening if you go out after midnight! Anyway, the book is really good, well-written and full This second instalment in the series continues from the thrilling cliffhanger at the end of book 1, and chronicles Zwaantie's adventures on arrival in Stella.

Anyway, the book is really good, well-written and full of brilliant characters that are so well described you feel you really know and relate to them. You do get a little annoyed with Zwaantie at times for being such a soppy dope, but there is enough else going on that you soon get distracted. And please, please can someone bring the funhouse described to reality, it sounds awesome!!

All in all, a good second instalment, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Nov 22, Hailey Miller rated it really liked it. She was stll very whinny, self-centered, childish and just very snotty. I think she was starting to get better but still was pretty bad.

I still think she could have been written better. She still pissed me off more the she should have. And still want to slap her just to knock some sense into her if she was actually real. Zwaantie finds herself in Stella fighting against the prophecy, but trying to do what is right. Stella is so different from Sol and she finds the differences overwhelming.

I really like Ari, he adds a lot to the story and he has a lot of good qualities. Sage is fun and likable too. I love this whole plot and the developments as they are coming along. I can see where the story is shifting to go and I love it and I simply cannot wait for the next book! I volunteered to read this book. May 04, Promisary rated it it was amazing. Like , so much more amazing. With this book , we get to know our characters so much better then what we knew in the 1st book.
